Selective Bibliography of Studies and Editions of High and Late Medieval Latin Eschatological Prophecies

Excluding works by Joachim of Fiore: 1990-2008
Robert E. Lerner et Katelyn Mesler

Texte intégral

1The study of medieval Latin eschatology has benefited over the past decades from an increasing number of scholars who are contributing to our knowledge of the history, personalities, and writings connected to prophetic thought. For the individual researcher, it means there is a wider range of texts and arguments to master. The following bibliography is not meant to be comprehensive; it is a guide to help orient researchers towards recent studies that provide editions of texts, engage in the current scholarly debates, or offer particularly valuable background and bibliographic information. Prophecies and authors are arranged in roughly chronological order, and bibliographic entries are arranged chronologically within each section.
